About Mark Stout

Mark Stout was born in southern California in 1955. He graduated from California State University at Chico (CSUC) in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and a minor in Political Science, graduating with Highest Honors.

Throughout the 1980’s Mark worked for a family-owned real estate development business in California. Later Mark became assistant to a Las Vegas rock concert producer, working in all facets of promoting and producing major rock and roll attractions such as AC/DC, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick and Ted Nugent to name a few.

In the 1990’s Mark became marketing director for StageCraft, a west coast-based set design and fabrication company which built touring sets for rock and roll bands such as KISS, Aerosmith, and Pink Floyd. In 1995 his employer sent Mark to Nashville, Tennessee to open an east coast facility to service the touring Country Music artists based in Music City.

In 1998 Mark obtained his Tennessee real estate broker license and specialized in residential real estate sales and investing until retiring his license in 2010.

Mark now writes, designs and produces innovative storytelling videos at his home in Nashville.

In 1995 StageCraft was nominated for Performance Magazine’s Set Construction Company of the Year Award for the mesmerizing giant mirror ball metamorphosis effect they built for Pink Floyd shown in the above video.
