Ask, Seek, Knock

When I was young, I had no clue. Appearances, appetites, grand illusion, was all I knew.

Shadows cast across a cave’s wall, misunderstanding the reality that I saw.

I was living in a prison of my own making, Not knowing the truth, my heart was aching.

For the freedom I sought I simply had to ask. You gave it freely Lord with just one task:

Be the light so others can see, To find freedom know we already have the key. Ask and it will be given. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will open. Do to others what you would have them do to you.

Now I know my sacred duty.

I have a purpose, I see the beauty.

For I believe in eternal life.

No longer afraid or full of strife.

I’m at peace now with my past.

With hope and joy, forgiven at last.

To love one another is the way, until I join you on that glorious day.

Ask and it will be given. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will open. Do to others what you would have them do to you.
